Having spent time working with desktop-based virtual modular synths, and building a homebrew analogue system we decided to join the best of both worlds and create an emulator for touchscreen devices, currently the iPad.

By collaborating with producers, engineers, and sound designers in these varied contexts, the team distilled a palette of reverb tones that span from abstract, textural washes to aggressive, club-ready grit. The result is a collection of presets that not only showcase FilthVerb’s versatility but also embody the raw spirit of real-world music-making.
The Performance tab in FilthVerb is designed for expressive, hands-on control, featuring dual X–Y pads that can be assigned to any parameter within the plugin. These pads allow users to shape reverb tone, depth, and distortion in real time, bringing a dynamic, tactile element to sound design and performance. Each pad responds smoothly to touch or MIDI input, making it easy to morph between subtle movements and extreme parameter sweeps. When released, the pads automatically return to the baseline values set in the Advanced panel, ensuring seamless transitions and effortless control whether you’re performing live or recording automation.
